Last year I tried to do a 10x10 challenge with my son. The problem was that I didn't consult him on it so we fell a bit short on a few games he doesn't like as much. This year, we made the list together. We pulled all his games off the shelf and picked his favorite ones until we had chosen 11 (he couldn't decide on just 10, so we have an alternate).

I bought a piece of poster board, made the chart using his crayons and markers, and hung it on the inside of a closet door where mommy wouldn't have to see it.

1. Ticket to Ride: First Journey (U.S.) is his current favorite game. He would play it 10 times every day if he could. That one should be done before the end of January.

2. Catan: Junior is a game he just got for Christmas and already loves.

3.Dog Bingo is just bingo with dog pictures to match. He likes to play until everyone has completely filled their entire card.

4. Turtle Splash! is a fun dexterity/memory game that I picked up at PAXU this year. Very fun!

5. Rory's Story Cubes is a game we play to tell silly stories together.

6. Rhino Hero is a great stacking game. He gets better every time we play.

7. Monza is another one of his favorites. He usually crushes me because the dice love him.

8. Dragon's Breath is another game he really likes. He always picks blue though.

9. Chutes and Ladders is maybe the most annoying game on this list. I usually cheat to keep the game from lasting forever. He doesn't realize yet that he always misses the slides on the top row.

10. Animal Upon Animal is a newer game in our collection. He likes it, but we usually ignore the die and just take turns stacking animals.

11. First Orchard is the game he's played the longest. I got it for him when he was 2.

There's our list! Wish us luck!
